Where connections begin, and friendships last!

The Women’s Club of Sea Pines (WCSP) was founded in 1998 by Sea Pines Plantation residents Jacque Carbiener and Joanne Santos. The Club was established with the mission of providing a venue where women can share friendship, common interests and activities. Currently, we have a variety of special interest groups such as biking, book clubs, bridge, card making, day trips, gardening, golf, knitting, line dancing, mah jongg, mixers, movie club, pickleball and walking.

Membership consists of about 500 Sea Pines property owners. The Club meets three times a year at the Spring and Fall Luncheons and at the Holiday Party. Interest groups meet separately throughout the year. WCSP maintains a small library within the Sea Pines Community Center.

COVID 19 Response

During the pandemic, Interest Groups were encouraged to find ways to connect with their groups safely. For instance, several Book Clubs met either in small groups outside or via Zoom. The Garden Club, with over 100 members, sent out monthly newsletters instead of having field trips or get togethers. The Outdoor Adventure Group had a bike Beach Pub Crawl and a Daufuskie Island Trip. The Golf Group  golfed weekly, with  optional  meal thereafter.   A few Pickle Ballers met in smaller groups weekly. The Biking Group and the Walking Group both met in smaller groups outside weekly.

Turtle Trackers (originally an Interest Group, but outgrew that and are now their own 501C Club) met monthly via Zoom.
